At ZeroDayLab, we have an exciting new internal opportunity for a Senior IT Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be focussed on designing and maintaining our dynamic IT Infrastructure, whilst project managing and technically supporting our digital transformation projects to perfectly match the needs of the business. You will be an experienced Senior IT Engineer with proven experience working with the following technologies:

  • Expert experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • VMware
  • Greylog Server
  • Domain Administration
  • Azure
  • Networking

Job Description:

The successful candidate will enjoy working for an agile, dynamic, focussed organisation where every member of the team is Passionate about Total Security Management. This role will be required to take responsibility for aspects of ZeroDayLab’s IT Infrastructure. Currently the role does not have any direct reports.

This role will be a home-based role. Our CTO is located in Manchester hence this location is desirable for the right candidate but other locations will be considered.

Key Candidate Criteria:

  • Strong technical knowledge in IT Systems, Software and Cloud Infrastructure
  • Technically adept in both Linux and Microsoft Operating Systems
  • The ability to design and implement digital transformation projects
  • Awareness of modern cyber security best practices
  • Internal facing, comfortable presenting your ideas to your line manager
  • Possess strong technical understanding of modern networking tools, technologies and methodologies
  • Ability to document and report in English to a good standard
  • Be punctual and meet agreed deadlines
  • Ideally be based from home near Manchester

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in roll out of new IT Systems, software applications, hardware, cloud solutions, and IT systems
  • Maintain current IT systems, software applications, hardware, networks and cloud environments
  • Update and improve current IT Policies, Processes and Procedures
  • Update and Maintain all ZeroDayLab IT Assets
  • Provide technical support to all ZeroDayLab employees
  • Regularly discuss and define IT requirements with management and key stakeholders
  • Provide improvement recommendations as necessary
